Yes you can make sunblock at home without all the chemicals even make some under emergency circumstances while you are lost in the woods.
If you figured out how to make a camp fire, take some of the charcoal and powder it. Then find a nontoxic plant with juice like aloe and make a big slightly gooey mess with it. Rub onto the skin and it won't wash off for about two weeks.
At home sunblock: Shea butter has an SPF of 6
Sesame seed oil has an SPF of 4
Red raspberry seed oil has an SPF between 28-50
Remember to double check all ingredients so that they don't make a sunburn worse like applying petroleum jelly.
